My Design Ethos

My Design Ethos

Good design is obvious, but great design is invisible. I want to strip things down to the bare bones, and edit until we reach a state of absolute harmony between the design and the usability. There is always a solution. Pushing pixels all day means that you have to step away and focus on the big picture often. The big picture and the details are equally important and should always be looked at in tandem. I’m not afraid of a bold choice. I’m not afraid to try something severe in design, or in art, or in life. I always design at an 11 to start, and then bring it back down to around a 7. I am a perfectionist, but perfection is the enemy of progress. There is no reason for bad design in the world.
